Application

• M-17 Broth is a selective medium.
• Specifically designed for the cultivation of Streptococcus thermophilus.
• Widely used in yogurt testing.
• Applied for the enrichment of S. Thermophilus in the dairy industry.

Preparation

Suspend 42 g of the medium in 1 liter of distilled water and allow it to hydrate. Heat to boiling, distribute into appropriate containers, and sterilize by autoclaving at 121 °C for 15 minutes.
